Get your dancing shoes on, THRAEYCE's new EP will have you dancing all night long. We sat down with THRAEYCE to discuss UFOria, or AFtERLIGHt and its anticipated release.
What was your inspiration behind this new EP?
The biggest inspiration behind this EP is a combination of alien disco party meets the 70's. I wanted to bring back a little bit of that 70's aesthetic and I included that with a little space theme.
How long have you been working on this project?
I've been working on this project since the end of last year around...I think I began in November.
Did COVID-19 have any affect on the progression of UFOria?
Not this one. Actually, I was very fortunate that this kind of gave me something to do in terms of creating something new for the year, for the spring.
Did you work with anyone else on this EP or was it purely independent?
I have collaborators and I couldn't do it without them. Most of the beats are produced by Budi and he's a German producer, he's fantastic and then they were mastered by my friend Mawiza Music.
What are some of your favorite tracks off of this project?
"Dreamstate" and "I Want to Believe" are my two favorites right now off of the EP.
What would you like your listeners to get out of UFOria?
I hope that listeners will be able to dance and sing along and just overall get a feel good feel for the 70's aesthetic. Bring back the 70's!
What else can we expect from you this year?
You can expect a full album from me on Memorial Day. It is called Dystopian Utopia and that's going to be electric pop mixed in with some experimental dance and synth pop tracks as well.
Is there anything else you would like to share with your fans, listeners and our readers regarding this EP?
I just want everybody to go and pre-save it. I hope that you enjoy it. If you like Dua Lipa, if you like 70's disco sounds you're really going to enjoy this. Come over to the alien disco party with me, baby!
Pre-save UFOria, or AFtERLIGHt - EP today and keep an eye out for it's release on Wednesday!
