What was your inspiration for “Stimulus”? I called the song “Stimulus” because it was literally inspired by the COVID-19 relief stimulus checks. A lot of people saw this act as just “free money”, but I took this as an opportunity to pursue my passion for music. I flipped it to something more and used it as a promotional budget for some of my new singles dropping later this year.
How long have you been working on this project? I’ve been working on this project for about a month or so from start to finish.
How has Covid-19 affected this project? I think that the pandemic has actually helped me as an artist, as well as life in general. As far as studio time, I record everything myself so COVID didn’t really impact me there. I think this extra time in self-isolation has allowed me to understand myself better and put out music that I am passionate about with personal meaning to it. Even though I did catch COVID in 2020, it was a spiritual awakening for me in a good way. It made me appreciate the simple things in life a lot more. I think we all kind of took advantage of the little things in life before the pandemic, so I’m glad that I am now able to not take any of the simple things for granted.
What would you like your listeners to get out of the project? Be persistent. Life is going to try to knock you down, but it’s important to keep your chin up and do what you love to do. It’s up to you to work hard and to achieve your goals despite life’s challenges.
What else can we expect from you in 2021? I will be releasing a new single every four weeks until October. I plan on dropping an album after that including the songs that I released as singles, as well as a few new songs to add to the mix.
Is there anything else you would like to share with your fans, listeners, and our readers regarding this project?
Just live life and appreciate every second of it. We only live once so it’s important to do what you love and love what you do.
"Stimulus" available on all platforms Friday!
